I have heard and read more arguments between Christians about Creation than any other topic. Some Christians hold fast to God's creating the world in six days. Others feel God created the world, but each day was thousands or millions of years. I've heard other Christians say that God's creation of the world was through the Big Bang Theory and others by some form of evolution, etc. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God: Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever. Psalm 146:5-6

In my opinion, many Christians get lost in the weeds. God created the world. What's it matter if creation took six literal days or days that were thousands or millions of years long? There have been some who have really gotten lost in the weeds over this to the point that they lost their faith. How long creation took is not what really matters. What matters is that God did create the world and He wants us to focus on Jesus, His Son's sacrifice on the cross and resurrection for our sins! We need to stay focused on what really matters and not let others get us caught up in unproductive discussions or arguments that can lead us astray by getting us lost in the weeds!

Creation: First Half of Job Verses

Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up: It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying, Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his Maker? Job 4:15-17

I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God . Job 9:2  ...Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number. Job 9:8-10

Thou [God] knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of Thine hand. Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet Thou dost destroy me. Remember, I beseech Thee, that Thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt Thou bring me into dust again? Job 10:7-9

But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. Job 12: 7-10

To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee? Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. Hell is naked before Him, and destruction hath no covering. He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in His thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. He holdeth back the face of His throne, and spreadeth His cloud upon it. He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at His reproof. He divideth the sea with His power, and by His understanding He smitheth through the proud. By His spirit He hath garnished the heavens; His hand hath formed the crooked serpent. Lo, these are parts of His ways: but how little a portion is heard of Him? but the thunder of His power who can understand? Job 29:4-14 (People of that time did not know that the earth was not attached to something, just hanging in space, but God did and had it written in the Bible long before Isaac Newton discovered in late 1600's the "Law of Universal Gravitation.")

For He looks to the ends of the earth, And sees under the whole heavens, To establish a weight for the wind, And apportion the waters by measure. When He made a law for the rain, And a path for the thunderbolt. Job 28:24-26

What then shall I do when God riseth up? and when He visiteth, what shall I answer Him? Did not He that made me in the womb make him [Job's friend]? and did not one fashion us in the womb? Job 31:14-15

For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my Maker would soon take me away. Job 32:22

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. If thou canst answer me, set Thy words in order before me, stand up. Behold, I am according to Thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay. Job 33:4-6

How much less to him that accepteth not the person of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of His hands. In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the might shall be taken away without hand. For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He seeth all his goings. Job 34:19-21

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty. But none saith, Where is God my Maker, who giveth songs in the night. Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven? Job 35: 9-11

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. Job 36: 3

Behold, God is great, and we know Him not, neither can the number of His years be searched out. For He maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof: Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly. Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of His tabernacle? Behold, He spreadeth His light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea. For by them judgeth He the people; He giveth meat in abundance. With clouds He covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt. Job 36: 26-32 (It wasn't until the late 1500's that Bernard Palissy proposed his theory of the Water Cycle (Hydrologic Cycle) and Pierre Perrault  confirmed this in the 1600's.)

God thundereth marvelously with His voice; great things doeth He, which we cannot comprehend. For He saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of His strength. He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know His work. Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places. Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north. By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened. Also by watering He wearieth the thick cloud: He scattereth His bright cloud: And it is turned round about by His counsels: that they may do whatsoever He commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth. Job 37: 5-12

Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God. Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of His cloud to shine? Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of Him which is perfect in knowledge? How thy garments are warm, when He quieteth the earth by the south wind? Hast thou with Him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? Job 37: 14-18

Note: I may omit some verses, although they may be important, in order to stay focused specifically on Bible verses that refer to God creating earth, man, woman, and all within. It's always good to go to the Bible and read it all. That's why I like to read the Bible from cover to cover so much. I'm concerned that if I include things off the topic, it may hinder the reader from determining for themselves that God did create the world and all within. Debbie
